This is a bench roller of my own original design. It is made out of laser cut steel plates that are then welded together and sanded/painted. The roller is heavy, very rigid, and well aligned to give you a glassy smooth rolling feel. The wheels are high quality and made of full stainless steel to ensure your rolling surfaces won’t rust and stays smooth for many years. The bearings are the same size as those used in skate boards. If you’d like, you can replace them with premium ones to your hearts desire. Finding replacement bearings will always be easy even though you should never need new ones.
My design uses 4 sets of bearings at different spacings to provide you with the best possible gap to roll glass rods and tubes between regardless of diameter. This allows you to use many hand techniques without having the tubes jumping out of place or fall off the roller.
This roller can roll any size diameter 2mm to 150mm+. That, and you can do it all without any need for adjustment. Having fixed wheels like this instead of adjustable ones is nice because it ensures that the wheels are always in perfect alignment.

The layout of the wheels can be changed to your liking. The roller is designed so that any wheel set can be removed will still rolling all diameters. I recommend removing wheel sets and or swapping which sides they are on to your liking. (My favorite configuration is pictured with the upper interior wheels removed, the roller can still roll all sizes like this and gains additional hand clearance. Then I will add them back in to get extra grip on 1″ handles with super heavy work, such as a 75mm vac stacks or big milli pull).
The rollers are suspended by 4 rubber feet which can be quickly adjusted to level the roller on an uneven surface, or they can be retracted to no longer contact the ground if desired. The feet use a M6 -1 thread and could be replaced with taller feet if desired.
The center area between wheels is essentially a rod rest for convivence and space saving reasons.
The roller measures 6.25″ wide wall to wall, 6″ deep, and 7.5″ tall. It weighs 7.5 lbs.
Please ask any questions, I’m eager to answer.
